Spring
March through to May can be a beautiful time of year. For the past few years we have had wonderful spring weather, this has resulted in an amazing variety of wild flowers. The swallows usually arrive around mid April, lambs are born and the rabbits start to feed off Graham's vegetable garden! 2012 Hay Festival - 31st May to 10th June 2012
Summer
Long summer nights around the BBQ or extend your walks into the evening. There are often agricultural shows on weekends and the small village shows can be the most fun. Go to the Royal Welsh Show (23rd - 26th July 2012) or stay in comfort for the Green Man Festival (117th - 19th August 2012).
Autumn
Go to Abergavenny Food Festival between 15th and 16th September 2012 and then spoil yourself in one of the many first class restaurants or gastropubs in the area. The beech trees in Clydach Gorge form a stunning back drop to the surrounding hills. The mist hangs in the valleys - we call it dragons' breath.
Winter
Will we have snow again this year? Our Christmas guests in 2010 had a BBQ in the snow! Wonderful photo opportunities and if you don't mind getting wet, go sledging. Then warm up in front of a fire in a local pub.
