Spring

March through to May can be a beautiful time of year. For the past few years we have had wonderful spring weather, this has resulted in an amazing variety of wild flowers. The swallows usually arrive around mid April,  lambs are born and the rabbits start to feed off Graham's vegetable garden! Hay Festival - 26th May - 5th June 2022 & Abergavenny Steam and Vintage Rally 29th/30th May 2022.

Summer

Long summer nights around the BBQ or extend your walks into the evening. There are often agricultural shows on weekends and the small village shows can be the most fun. Royal Welsh Show 18th - 21st July 2022 and stay in comfort for the Green Man Festival (18th- 21st August 2022). Brecon Jazz is from 1st - 31st August 2022.

Autumn

Go to Abergavenny Food Festival on the weekend of 18th/19th Sept 2022 then spoil yourself in one of the many first class restaurants or gastropubs in the area. Usk Show is in September 2022 (tbc). The beech trees in Clydach Gorge form a stunning back drop to the surrounding hills. The mist hangs in the valleys - we call it dragons' breath. 

Winter

Picture
Will we have snow this year?  Wonderful photo opportunities and if you don't mind getting wet, go sledging. Then warm up in front of a fire in a local pub. Crickhowell Walking Festival is on 5th to 13th March 2022.
