Let us hope that 2022 will be a better year for all of us and we look forward to welcoming you back to Old Rectory Barn.

You can be assured that we have done everything necessary to make Old Rectory Barn a safe as well as a comfortable environment for you.

We have completed the ' WE'RE GOOD TO GO' Covid -19 Industry Standard accreditation​. In addition we have undertaken the Covid-19 Cleaning Protocol On Line course recommended by the tourism bodies.

There may still be some changes to our procedures e.g. arrival and departure times, and these can be found on the covid-19 page, plus we will provide you with an information sheet on arrival.

​Restored with your comfort and the environment in mind, Old Rectory Barn is located within the Brecon Beacons National Park and dates from the early 16th Century.

​For 2022 the barn will be available for family holidays and 3/4 night weekend breaks as one large property sleeping up to 10 guests.

The Barn offers five star comfort for families or friends and is an excellent base for exploring this beautiful and historic area which offers a range of outdoor activities for all ages and abilities and is renowned for its excellent local produce and restaurants.

Set in five acres above the village of Maesygwartha and in the South-East corner of the Brecon Beacons National Park the Barn has wonderful views of the countryside from all rooms. There are so many things to do both on the doorstep and within a short distance that we are delighted to welcome guests back year after year.

NEW from 2018 - an eco charger for electric and plug in hybrid vehicles

Maesygwartha is within easy driving distance of London, the Midlands and Manchester.  It is well serviced by local and national train services via Abergavenny, Hereford and Newport (London - Swansea main line). Nearest village is Gilwern 1 mile, with shops and pubs, Crickhowell 4 miles, Abergavenny 5 miles. There are bus services to Gilwern & Abergavenny. Here's how to find us.
